Application: Designed for scrap reclamation at rates of up to 2000 lbs./hour, the 1600 series tangential cutting chamber easily ingests bulky items like 3 liter PET bottles and preforms, 1 gallon HDPE bottles, blow molded parts up to 14" square, football helmets, 5 gallon pails, and other large items. Optional equipment allows for easy feeding of continuous film scrap, sheet, long items up to 8" high; for example: vehicle door panels, thin wall pipe, facias, profile, and more.

Performance Features and Benefits:

• Heavy duty construction: Welded steel rotor, cutting chamber, and screen cradle are built to withstand wear and shock loads. Rugged outboard pillow block bearing eliminates contamination of plastic material.
• Front feed hopper: Offering convenient feed height and available with tray feed and removable flap design. Operator safety is fully integrated, and the hopper design reduces flyback to a minimum.

Optional Equipment: In addition to the options listed on the universal and custom features page, general purpose/medium duty granulators can be customized further with:

• Stair-step type rotors.
• Rear feed chutes.
• Bar type rotor.
• Combination hoppers for front hand feed, top robot feed, and feed roll attachments for edge trim.
• Blower evacuation equipment to minimize regrind material handling.
